Booking a stay
Open Book a Stay, choose your town, dates, home type and number of guests, and see the full price before you pay. You can add food or a movie night, your dates are held for 30 minutes while you pay, and payment is by M-Pesa.
Yes. Prices, cancellation terms and house rules are shown before you pay and again in your confirmation. A booking is confirmed once your deposit or full payment is received.
We manage homes in Nairobi, Naivasha, Nakuru, Mombasa / Nyali and Diani. Browse them on Our Units or see all locations. If your town is not listed, join the waitlist and tell us your dates.
Use Find My Package and tell us what you need. We will match you to a stay, a package or an event option.
Yes. With Split & Pay, everyone pays their own share by M-Pesa using the same reference, and the dates confirm once the full amount is reached. See Split & Pay.
Yes. You can send a stay as a gift for a birthday, Valentine’s or a thank-you, including from abroad for family in Kenya. Details are on Gift a Stay.
Yes. See Food & Catering for private chefs, nyama choma and event catering, and Staybite Extras for in-stay services such as a photographer or massage.
Yes. When a guest refers a friend, the friend gets KES 500 off a first stay of 2 or more nights and the guest gets KES 500 off their next stay once the friend checks out. Owners who refer owners earn a credit on their next statement fee. See Refer & Earn.

Property owners & pricing
We charge a share of booking revenue, so we earn more only when you do. Co-Host is about 15% and Full Management is about 20 to 25%. Performance is a custom fee and Portfolio pricing is negotiated. Your exact fee is agreed in writing before you sign. See Pricing.
No. Guests pay you directly and you pay our agreed fee afterwards. Staybite does not collect, hold or handle booking payments for managed properties.
A no-obligation review of your property. You receive a realistic view of what it can earn and a written proposal with the package, fees and responsibilities. Start on the assessment page.
No. We never promise unrealistic income. Earnings depend on location, seasonality and property type. The income calculator gives illustrative figures and the assessment gives a realistic estimate for your property.
A typical co-host answers messages and updates a calendar. Staybite is accountable for outcomes: how your property is priced, positioned, cleaned and maintained, and how much of its potential revenue is captured. Read more about Staybite.

An itemized monthly owner statement, so every line of income and cost is visible.
Ask before you sign. Whose name the listing is in, the notice period, exit terms and what happens to existing bookings are fair questions, and the important terms go into your written agreement. See the About page for the questions to ask any manager.
Furnishing, major styling refreshes, photography and complex maintenance beyond routine coordination are billed separately. See Setup & Furnishing.

Compliance, safety & diaspora owners
Kenya has tightened rules on short-term rentals. Staybite helps hosts with registration support, a landlord-consent letter pack for people who sublet, and monthly levy reminders. We refer complex legal or tax matters to qualified Kenyan professionals. See Verified & Safe Arrival.

Yes. Diaspora Property Watch covers inspections, snagging and regular checks for owners who are not in Kenya.

Browse Event Tickets. Tickets are issued once payment is confirmed, and age limits, refund and transfer terms are shown on each event.
Yes. Use Create Your Event. Staybite reviews submissions but does not guarantee events, and organisers are responsible for their own events.
